Your right. What harm can be done, by using a bit of music. They put their music in your head, So if you think that it would go with your video. You should be able too. And they get some air time. Shame there is not a good way around this on Utube. When they disable the sound, you loose the sounds you had. To turn you need to put more pressure on one foot. If you want to turn right put more weight on your left foot. If you want to turn left, put more weight on your right foot.
That's the idea behind it.

I went skiing a few times and learnt it without instructor or anybody elses help. These videos definitely helped with faster progress and helped to avoid bad injuries by realizing mistakes quickly. Just ski at speed you find comfortable and in control. Better fall early than too late.
